New Construction

Wickenburg has seen steady growth over the years, so at any given point there are always a number of new developments in progress or up and coming.
In the past our new developments have been relatively small offering at the very most 90 to 100 home sites at any given time. These developments were almost always offering just the land for sale, we do not have a history of track home developments. The trend these days is for a single builder to purchase large groups of home sites, where they can build a limited number of floor plans and sell from their model homes. Even though today we still have developments that offer lots for sale, Wickenburg's future will likely see more and more developments that offer only homes not lots.

LAND / LOTS IN A NEW DEVELOPMENT
In our new developments that offer just the land for sale, a buyer has a number of options. You can purchase the lot and hold on to it for the future. You can also purchase the lot & immediately hire a builder. You will have your choice of builders, we have a number of reputable builders around the Wickenburg area. Most builders have a number of house plans to choose, or feel free to have custom house plans drawn to suit your lot. Custom homes are very common in Wickenburg because there is such variation between lots. Some of the common factors around Wickenburg that affect the design of a house are: View, Lot shape, exposure to the sun, drainage / washes, and privacy with any neighbors. Another common option that will frequently present itself in new developments are Builder Spec Homes. Frequently our local builders purchase lots in the new development and proceed to build new homes for resale. Your agent will surely make you aware of any new builder spec homes that are available. You can expect that any of these new developments will have Restrictions, but it is not common at all for developments around Wickenburg to have Home owners associations.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS WITH HOMES ONLY
We are starting to see new developments around the Wickenburg area where only homes are for sale and not lots. In these cases the builder or developer will generally have models for a potential buyer to view. The new home buyer can choose from a limited number of floor plans, and then upgrade the house to their liking or budget. The downside of course is that these homes offer limited flexibility of design, however they can be a very convenient way to purchase a new home.

Saddle Ridge III - West Wickenburg Way - 35 home development - 92 homes have been completed in the first two phases. Pleasant Valley is 3/4ths sold out of its 63 lots with 12 left to develop. Off of highway 60 & Kellis Road near downtown.

Three Crosses - Phase 1 - 45 lots with Phase II to have 27 lots. - located west on highway 60 one -1/2 miles beyond Vulture Mine Road. Cambria Development- Developer of affordable housing in Circle City, just 15 south of downtown Wickenburg on Highway 60.

Date Creek Hills - located northwest of Congress, Arizona will include a phase of affordable townhouses and four-plex residential units.

Wickenburg is just a short drive up from the Valley - scenic drive off of Interstate 17 and Highway 74 which is the Carefree-Wickenburg Highway, or I-10 heading west and exiting off Loop 303 to Grand - Highway 60 north.

Our historic community is 144 years old and continues to have the genuine western feel. It's a real town - with lot's of pride, community events, local attractions, and only three stop lights.
